“I pray for the recovery of the late Kim Daun, who lost a precious life, and express my deepest condolences and condolences to the bereaved family.”
The president and management officially apologized and announced special safety measures by holding an unusual press conference on a holiday.
It has been 66 days since the accident occurred.

“There was a broadcast on MBC, and the public interest in this accident has increased and there has been a lot of concern.
First of all, we decided to immediately eliminate the ‘direct live wire’ work that directly touches a current flowing wire, and expand the post-blackout work method that cuts off electricity.
In addition, it was decided to place safety officers at all electrical construction sites of KEPCO, and to prohibit workers from directly climbing on electric poles like the late Kim Daun.
KEPCO emphasized, “We will make this year the first year of eviction of major disasters,” saying, “The safety management was insufficient due to the pursuit of convenience and efficiency-oriented management.”
However, they still said that they were just a client who was not involved in the work, and drew a line on the responsibility for safety management as a principal contractor.

(Are you maintaining the position that there is no responsibility as the original agency?)
“I am saying that we will properly exercise our responsibilities and authority as a client, but we will follow the results of investigations or investigations by the police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor…”
The bereaved family said that KEPCO has ignored the request for information regarding the accident and made a sincere apology.
Tomorrow, I plan to personally visit the KEPCO headquarters in Naju, Jeollanam-do to protest.
