As viruses continue to spread, many are wondering regarding the relevance of the office parties that are looming on the horizon, especially since inflation is affecting the wallets of many Quebecers.

This was suggested by several citizens interviewed by our journalist.
“We have to take the situation into consideration, especially if there will be a lot of people… are we going to wear masks, or not?” asks a man.
“It’s not giving away now, and since prices have risen a lot in relation to wages, I still try to be careful and measure my expenses,” says another citizen.
But reviews are mixed; for many, the need to reconnect and decompress outweighs the risks.
“We have to forget a little what we are going through at the moment, we still have to think regarding celebrating a little,” says a citizen.
“At some point, you have to face it all. I think it’s still a good time to be able to meet up with office colleagues, ”says a woman.
The restaurants are preparing for their part to welcome the festivities, while the reservation book of several establishments is overflowing.
“The holiday season is always a big time for restaurateurs. Last year, what happened with the closing during the holidays was very difficult too, many parties canceled on the spot. So it really wasn’t easy. So it’s obviously a relief this year. The reservation books are full,” explains Dominique Tremblay, director for the Association Restauration Québec.
