Office of the Minister of Social Affairs: 200,000 families are eligible to benefit from the Aman program

The media office of the Minister of Social Affairs, Dr. Hector Hajjar, announced in a statement, “After closing the registration door on the “Daam” network to benefit from the “Aman” programs and the financing card at midnight on January 31, 2022, and the registration of 582,825 families until this date, the evaluation phase and the selection of families began. the most needed in an automated manner and without any human intervention.”

He added: “After applying the previously announced exclusion criteria, 41,697 applications were excluded due to the lack of eligibility of these families to benefit as they are considered affordable. Also, 36,648 double applications were excluded and 7,878 families benefiting from the poorest families program. The possibility of benefiting from 114,602 applications was also suspended due to lack of Provides all the required information. Therefore, we invite the owners of these forms to complete and send them by logging in with their username and password.”

He continued, “If, in the first stage, 200,000 Lebanese families were identified who are eligible to benefit from the “Aman” program.” These families were selected from among the forms that were sent and include complete information according to basic overlapping criteria, such as:
No or limited income in the family.
The presence of at least one individual from the most vulnerable groups, such as people with special needs.
Older people over 64 years old.
Minor individuals.
Or a family headed by a woman with no or limited income.
It also adopted other criteria such as the housing situation, the number of rooms in it, and the number of cars owned by members of the same family.

He pointed out that “following completing the process of selecting families eligible to benefit, home visits began by the World Food Program “WFP” and the companies contracting with it, on Thursday, February 17, 2022, where daily regarding 500 surveyors visit a specified number of families eligible to benefit, to verify the information. The home visits will be carried out in stages to identify the 150,000 families that will benefit from the “Aman” program for a period of one year, with payment to begin during the month of next March.It is reported that funding for the “Aman” program is secured through a loan from World Bank, $246 million.
