There are over 525,000 companies registered in Warsaw, of which 223,000 are are sole proprietorships. The activity of the inhabitants of the capital city is constantly growing. Warsaw entrepreneurs can take advantage of e.g. from the offer at the Smolna Entrepreneurship Center. Similar initiatives are also carried out by the Warsaw districts of Bielany and Wawer.

– We know what problems entrepreneurs who are just starting their business face, which is why our city offer is addressed to micro, small and medium-sized companies that have been operating on the market for no longer than 3 years. We believe that the possibility of renting a place in a co-working space at a favorable price lower than the market price and access to a wide range of free trainings organized on site will help them spread their wings, says Karolina Zdrodowska, Director, Entrepreneurship and Social Dialogue Coordinator at the Capital City Hall.

– Young, small companies sometimes need a desk, sometimes a room for a meeting or a projector for a presentation, and they do not have to permanently rent large office space. The city meets such expectations by offering them the use of coworking at the Smolna Entrepreneurship Centre. It is not only space and office equipment, but above all an opportunity for networking meetings and getting acquainted with the city’s full offer for entrepreneurs – he adds.

Desk for beginners

The urban coworking space is located in the center at 4 Smolna Street in Warsaw’s Powiśle. To use it, you only need to meet two conditions:

– run a business for no more than 3 years,

– be a micro, small or medium entrepreneur or female entrepreneur.

Those who choose the city offer:

– will pay a preferential price for renting a desk (PLN 453.20 net per month),

– they will gain access to broadband internet, conference rooms, social facilities and multifunctional devices,

– will take advantage of many attractive, substantive training and consulting programs organized by the Smolna Entrepreneurship Centre,

– they will work in a convenient location and a friendly place in the Karol Beyer Park in the green part of Powiśle.

Cowork is open from Monday to Saturday, from 7:00-22:00.

District incubators

Similar initiatives are also carried out by the Warsaw districts of Bielany and Wawer.

In Bielański Integrator Przedsiębiorczości, on 350 m2, there are three coworking rooms equipped with 32 desks, three conference rooms (up to 6 people), a workshop room (up to 10 people) and social facilities. Using the Integrator’s space is free of charge, and desks and rooms are booked in advance, by the hour.

The integrator is located at al. Unions 25 at the Stare Bielany metro station. It is open from Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 16.00 (and on Mondays until 18.00). Integrator users receive free access to the Wi-Fi network and the ability to print, as well as coffee and tea.

In addition to running a co-working space, Integrator supports with knowledge: people planning to start a business or foundation, local entrepreneurs, innovators looking for additional support, mothers returning to the labor market and refugees from Ukraine in setting up companies in Poland. Specialists provide free advice, train and conduct individual consultations in such areas as: accounting and taxes, CEIDG application, social media, searching for start-up and development funds, running a business on the Internet, career counseling, building business models.

Wawerski Integrator Przedsiębiorczości operates in the Wawer district. The free offer is intended for people living in Warsaw who intend to set up their own business or are already running it, as well as students of secondary schools. As part of the program, participants learn how to test and develop their business ideas, what to pay attention to in the area of ​​marketing, sales, team building and management, as well as how to obtain funding.

The program for 2023 includes:

– 50 hours of business mentoring,

– 10 workshops,

– 4 meetings for young people from secondary schools in Wawer,

– 8 networking meetings for entrepreneurs,

– a zone of 10 desks for work,

– a workshop and conference room for regarding 10-12 people.
