After an Extraordinary Security Council, the Governor of Antioquia, Andrés Julián, announced the reward of up to $50 million pesos for information that allows the identification and identification of leaders of the Gulf Clan in Caucasia.
These are aliases ‘El Viejo’ and alias ‘Julián’, leaders of the Clan del Golfo in the Bajo Cauca subregion.

“We ask citizens to help us. These people are responsible for a large part of the violent deaths in the area. “The Public Force will continue to intensify its operations to capture them,” the president stated.
During his intervention, the Governor of Antioquia also denounced that criminal structures such as the Caparros, known as Los de Abajo, and the Clan del Golfo are using minors for criminal activities, including homicides and the distribution of drugs.

“It is essential that judicial operators take into account this use of minors when judging these criminals”he added.
To counteract this situation, the Secretariat of Security and Justice of Antioquia will implement a comprehensive intervention together with the Public Force in the neighborhoods of Caucasia most affected by micro-trafficking and violence.
