Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) established Monday, October 28, as the new date for receiving offers for the rehabilitation works of route PY05, in the Pozo Colorado – Concepción section.
This project marks an important milestone, since it will be the first road in the country built with concrete, thus complying with the provisions of Law No. 5841/17, which establishes the use of rigid pavement in the construction of road infrastructure in Paraguay. regulated last May, the MOPC reported.
The call, identified with No. 449,368, has an estimated amount of G. 472,523,161,624 and those interested in competing must present their envelopes on the established day at 10:30 at the Single Entry Table, ground floor of the central building of the MOPC. Subsequently, the opening of envelopes will take place on the third floor, assembly hall, at 11:00.
The contemplated works will be financed with resources from the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), as part of the “Program for Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Paved Routes by Service Levels – Vial 3”.
The tender is divided into two strategic lots: Lot A of 53.3 km and Lot B of 36.2 km, totaling 90.2 kilometers of rehabilitation. Each lot has a completion period of 20 months from the signing of the contract.
Choosing rigid pavement offers numerous advantages, including greater durability, less maintenance, high resistance to heavy loads, better load distribution, greater road safety and less environmental impact. In addition, it uses national industry material and generates local jobs.
Six consortiums interested in oversight
Regarding the supervision of the works, the MOPC received proposals from six interested consortia on October 14, within the framework of the International Public Tender with ID No. 452,027.
The participating consortia are: DGT Consortium, IPI Consortium, Asistencia Integral de Ingeniería SRL, Unión de Consultores Consortium, Consultores Argentinos Asociados Sociedad Anónima CADIA, Grimaux – Electroconsult Consortium, and CT Vial III Consortium, all of them with a budgeted amount of G. 16,090 ,000,000.
This rehabilitation represents a significant advance in the country’s road infrastructure, promising a safer, more durable and efficient route for users of the PY05.
