From the beginning of May, for example, the popular holiday destination Antalya in the Türkiye with the Turkish airlines Corendon Airlines (Mon., Wed., Sat.) and every Saturday with Mavi Gök Airlines from Linz.

Fixed starters in the summer timetable are always the greek islands. From the end of May to the end of September, up to nine flights a week take off from Hörsching – on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to the sunny island of Crete (Heraklion), on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays to Rhodes and on Sundays to Kos. For the first time Kefalonia (Thursday) will also be served from Linz. The Greek island in the Ionian Sea is still considered an insider tip. With its beaches in the south and the mountainous landscape in the north and Mount Ainos, it offers a lot of possibilities. One looks in vain for big hotels and mass tourism.

Egypt has developed into a year-round destination, which is not only served by Linz in the winter season, but is also on the summer flight schedule with Hurghada – every Monday, Tuesday and Friday. During the autumn holidays, the planes will also take off in the direction of Marsa Alam (October 19–26).

Already with the end of April will be the proven Mallorca– Connection resumed twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday). Bulgaria is also back on Linz Airport’s summer timetable. From the beginning of July, the planes will land in Burgas, the city on the Black Sea coast, every Tuesday.

In addition to Greece, Croatia and Italy have been among the top holiday destinations for Austrians for decades. From mid-May to the beginning of October (Sat.), Gruber-Reisen offers all those who are hungry for a swim a trip to the island of Brac, Mader Reisen invites you to a cultural trip to Bari (September 21-24) and Schöner Reisen with Wiesinger to the island Sardinia/Olbia (26.5.–29.5.). No plans for the autumn holidays yet? In addition to Egypt, the third-largest island in the Mediterranean would also be an option from Linz: Cyprus is served by European Air Charter (October 28 – November 4).

New self-check-in options

Holiday guests can check in at four terminals in the Linz departure hall with their booking code or reservation number, and print out their boarding pass and luggage tag. The suitcase can then be handed in at the drop-off counter.
