This Monday evening, July 4, a six-year-old child was taken to hospital following being bitten by a dog, in Saint-Trond. According to information from Belang van Limburg, the animal grabbed the child by the neck as he was playing in a fountain.
The dog was being walked by two men, who reportedly took off his leash so he might let off steam in the water fountains. “It is incomprehensible that this man let the pit bull run and is constantly on his cell phone”, reacted the mother of the child in the columns of HLN. “When Xander suddenly saw the dog in front of him, he immediately ‘cowled up’ because he’s afraid of dogs. The pit bull then rushed at it, towards his neck, ”adds the mother.
The dog, which fled following the attack, was seized administratively and placed in an animal shelter. An animal behaviorist must carry out a test with regard to it.
