ALGIERS- Algerian exporting companies, distinguished on Tuesday in Algiers during the 1st edition of the “Export Honor Medal”, have raised very high the bar of their ambitions in terms of exports by 2029 following having achieved positive results in this area during the period from 2020-2022.
Presentations on the achievements and ambitions of 14 distinguished companies were presented during a ceremony chaired by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the International Conference Center “Abdelatif Rahal”, in the presence of senior officials from the State, members of the Government, representatives of professional associations and heads of public and private companies.
According to the data presented, the construction materials distribution company “SODISMAC” (subsidiary of the GICA Group) employing 12,170 workers, was able to export its cement for a value of nearly 182 million USD between 2020 and 2022 to 23 African countries. , Asia and Latin America. It aims to increase its exports to 300 million USD by 2029.
For its part, the phosphate mining company “SOMIPHOS” belonging to the Manadjim El Djazair Group (MANAL) increased its exports to more than 350 million USD in the period 2020-2022. The company employing 2,078 workers aims to export more than 269 million USD by 2029.
The company “ELSEWEDY CABLES ALGERIA” is working, for its part, to reach 175 million USD in exports by 2029, following having achieved an export turnover of more than 29 million USD in the period 2020-2022, to 17 countries from different continents.
For its part, the “Yassir” company achieved exports of 18.7 million USD during the period 2020-2022, and aims to reach 150 million USD in exports in 2029.
Saterex-Iris company has managed to exceed USD 45 million in exports, consisting mainly of electronics, household appliances and tires, to 28 countries, aiming to reach USD 146 million in exports in 2029.
As for the Mediterranean float glass company “MFG” (a subsidiary of Cevital), it exported between 2020 and 2022, 137 million USD to 35 countries in the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. The company, which employs 970 people, aims to increase the pace of its exports in the future to reach 130 million USD in 2029.
According to what the APS has learned from company officials, discussions are underway with the vehicle manufacturer “Stellantis”, to discuss subcontracting for the manufacture of car windows on behalf of “Fiat”. and this within the framework of its project in Algeria.
The “Faderco” Company has set the target of reaching 110 million USD in exports in 2029, following its exports reached more than 63 million USD between 2020 and 2022, to 23 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
“Condor” company’s export turnover of electronic appliances and household appliances reached USD 28.5 million between 2020 and 2022, exporting its products to 15 countries, aiming to reach USD 70 million exports by 2029.
In addition, the export volume of Boublenza, a company specializing in carob and its derivatives, amounts to 47.6 million dollars between 2020 and 2022, to 25 countries in Asia, Africa and Europe, setting a goal of reaching $50 million by 2029.
As for the medical and surgical industries company (IMC), which specializes in the manufacture of medical and hospital equipment, it exported between 2020 and 2022 for more than 5 million dollars to ten countries, mainly in Africa, and aspires to multiply this figure by 2029 with the achievement of 10% of its global turnover from exports.
The exports of the company “Biodattes-Algeria” are around 5 million dollars between 2020 and 2022, with the objective of reaching 16 million dollars in 2029. The company Kiared, specialized in the production of olive oil, aspires to reach $5.1 million by 2029.
The Expo Cuir company carried out between 2020 and 2022 exports of leather for a value of 450,000 dollars to several countries such as Turkey, Italy, Germany and India and aspires to increase its exports to 600,000 dollars from here in 2029.
The company “Tasdir” under the Algerian Fairs and Exports Company (Safex) was honored by the President of the Republic as a support company for Algerian exporters.
