ODEPEC opens doors to foreign jobs; 2753 people were recruited during 5 years Kerala | Deshabhimani

2753 people got overseas jobs during five years through Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultants Limited (ODEPEC) of the Department of Labour. Even with the Covid crisis, ODEPEC has provided 787 foreign jobs in 2021. The objective is to provide employment to educated job seekers and skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers in foreign countries.

Saudi Arabia has the highest number of recruitments – 1152. 866 jobs were provided in the UAE and 594 in the UK. ODEPEC has conducted recruitment in various fields like medical, engineering, teaching, human resource and other countries like Oman, Belgium and Maldives. Earlier it was to Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Qatar and European countries like UK and Ireland. ODEPEC implements special projects for employment in Germany, Belgium and South Sudan.

Candidates say that ODEPEC is a great support to secure foreign employment in the face of exploitation including visa fraud and salary withholding. Online and offline courses in German for free nursing recruitment to Germany. ODEPEC also conducts IELTS/ OET exam training. 1826 people were trained in five years. The Study Abroad project has also been started to provide opportunities for higher studies in countries like America, Canada, Australia, UK, New Zealand and Ukraine.
