Philippe Oddo has transformed a boutique stockbroker originally from Marseille into one of the major players in the European landscape of asset management, private banking and, more modestly, investment banking. He is now at the head of a group, ODDO BHF, which he built through acquisitions, and which weighs 128 billion euros. Passionate regarding mountains and a great admirer of Switzerland, he looks back on the ambitions of a group he has been leading for more than thirty-five years with the same philosophy: independence.
Le Temps: ODDO BHF bought the Landolt bank in 2020. Why this choice of Switzerland?
