The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) of the United Nations (UN) offered on October 29 an assessment of the scope of the humanitarian response in Venezuela. According to reports, at least 2.1 million people have benefited until September 2024.
OCHA, responsible for coordinating and ensuring that aid reaches people in need, establishes a humanitarian response plan in Venezuela each year with the goal of assisting 5.1 million people. Planning requires $617 million, of which, as of September 2024, it has received between 17% and 18% of the amount needed.
The organization expects that, in the last quarter of the year, cooperation will remain at similar levels to those of previous years, with the objective of reaching between 2.6 and 2.8 million people assisted in Venezuela by the end of 2024.

According to data from OCHA Venezuela, the total number of beneficiaries who received humanitarian assistance in the Capital District and in the 23 states of the country was possible thanks to the collaboration of 152 organizations.
