Occupancy already exceeds 95% in the city of Córdoba and spreads to neighboring cities

Hotel occupancy in Córdoba is already close to 100 percent, according to the latest report from the Tourism Observatory of the Undersecretariat of Tourism of the Municipality of Córdoba. The exact cut-off, this Saturday followingnoon, was an occupancy rate of 96.3 percent, with 8,474 seats filled out of 9,053 available.

In the establishments categorized as five stars, occupancy is already 100%, the four stars are at 94 percent and the three stars are at 98 percent complete. Reservations in aparthotels are also very high, with 96 percent occupancy. Even the hostels are full, with 93 percent already booked. There is still some space in one- and two-star hotels, although they have already reserved more than 85 percent of their places. Most reservations are for one night only.

“The sold out flights and the movement by route that we began to visualize tell us that between yesterday, today and tomorrow, we estimate that the city and surrounding areas will receive more than 40 thousand visitors,” said Darío Capitani, president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency.

“It is a very important number because it represents a great economic impact for the benefit of all Cordobans and will generate a very high demand in the gastronomic, entertainment and transportation sectors,” the official pointed out.

Capitani explained that “the first thing that was filled were the highest category hotels closest to the stadium,” and that later “the reservations were expanded to the rest of the capital and interior.”

He also assured that there is almost no availability in the temporary rental houses that are offered via applications.
