“Obsessed” .. Will Ten Hag succeed in controlling the Manchester United stars?

New Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag has a tough job once morest the rotten apples in the dressing room.

Manchester United suffers from the influence of English players who control the dressing room and infiltrate the English press to publish what they like.

It will not be an easy task for Tin Hag to control these people, especially since he has not yet engaged with them.

The response came from his former Ajax player, Danny Blind, who described the new Manchester United manager as a “control freak”.

And support his fellow Dutchman to bring success back to the club if he gets enough time and resources to impose his own style.

Blind, who spent 4 seasons at United before moving to Ajax in 2018, won 3 Eredivisie titles and 2 domestic cups under Ten Hag.

“He is really sociable,” the 32-year-old told United’s website regarding his former coach. At Ajax he knew everyone at the club was important, everyone had to be involved to win.

He added: “He is very aware of what he wants, he also wants to keep everything close to him, he is also obsessed with control and wants to be on top of everything, I think that is a special advantage that you have to have when you are that competent.”

Blind said United had not won a title since the Europa League in 2017, and while it would be important to win trophies back to Ten Hag, he must first establish a clear playing style.

Ten Hag took over at Old Trafford following a poor season under interim coach Ralf Rangnick, as the team finished sixth in the league and failed to qualify for the Champions League.
