Obrador calls for elections

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador called for elections to be held as soon as possible in Peru, to avoid political instability, since the “democratic method is the medicine” that the Andean country needs.

In La Mañanera this Wednesday, the man from Tabasco criticized the actions of the current government and said that he cannot continue with the same repressive policy.

He pointed out that, although many try to hide it, he stressed that international media have reported on the protests.

López Obrador regretted that in the last six years in Peru, presidents have changed at least five times.

“They are looking at what is happening in Peru, that is, the media are trying to hide what happened, but there is no doubt that the world is seeing what happened in Peru, I do not think they dare to continue with the same repressive policy. and from that an agreement is reached and I consider that the best, with the necessary time to schedule an election.

“The democratic method is medicine for Peru, hopefully it will be resolved,” he asserted.

At another time, the president criticized the position of the United States ambassador and maintained that this was an “interventionist position.”
