August 27, 08:00am (UK time). Is this the moment when finally, after 15 years and a series of speculations, the band “Oasis” will announce a historic reunion? According to the teaser published yesterday (Sunday) by the founders of the band and the hawk brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, it is possible that the leaders of the Britpop scene (besides Blair and Falp, two bands that reunited last year) may be performing together again.

Posts of the same type may promote, for that matter, reissues of mythological albums. But the timing is not accidental, it is suspicious and follows many reports and a feverish rumor mill over the weekend in the UK about a series of 10 shows that the members of “Oasis” will hold at Wembley Stadium in London in 2025. The band’s former vocalist Liam Gallagher himself reinforced the popular assessment when he said: “I never liked the word ‘former'”. When one of the surfers claimed that the concert experience at Heaton Park in Manchester, the second complex where it was reported that Oasis would perform, and called the park “a terrible place for shows”, Liam Gallagher replied: “See you in front, big ass”.

A source privy to the details told the British “Sun”: “This is the meeting that no one thought would ever happen. Liam and Noel have been sworn enemies for more than a decade, but they got back in touch secretly. A deal was put on the table and they both said yes, to the surprise of the people around them. There will be performances in the UK next summer, and both Noel and Liam are excited to be back there together.” Apart from that, it was reported that Oasis may return to the old Glastonbury festival next year as headliner in light of the 30th anniversary of the masterpiece album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?

Oasis, the seventh best band in the world according to Noel Gallagher’s own ranking, broke up in 2009 with the retirement of the band’s guitarist and songwriter, citing that he was unable to work with his brother “one more day”. Despite the family conflict that unfolded, this year for the first time Oasis reached the list of candidates for entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but in the end was not selected. Liam, the younger brother of the two, went on tour about two months ago to mark the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe, the band’s debut album. Let’s hope that as far as the question of the union is concerned, the answer this time will be “defantly defantly”.
