ÖAMTC: Traffic jams and closures on the national holiday in Vienna

Ring, two-way line and access routes to the city center affected

Vienna (OTS) – Due to various rallies on the national holiday and the military exhibition, the Ringstrasse in the section between Stadiongasse and Schottengasse will be closed from 11:00 a.m. to around 8:00 p.m., the ÖAMTC informs. In addition, the Ring and Kai will be closed in sections due to a running event from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The diversion due to the closure of the ring between Stadiongasse and Schottengasse takes place via Operngasse, Friedrichstrasse, Getreidemarkt to Landesgerichtsstrasse or Maria-Theresien-Strasse.

There will be delays on Roßauer Lände, Obere and Untere Donaustraße, Praterstraße, Franzensbrückenstraße as well as on all access routes to the ring – such as Rechte Wienzeile or Burggasse.

The ÖAMTC experts recommend that all road users avoid large areas or use the subway.
