ÖAMTC: Preparatory work on the west entrance leads to traffic jams

2023-06-11 11:19:10

Left turn towards Hütteldorf and Brauhausbrücke towards Hietzing closed

Vienna (OTS) A two-way traffic area will be set up in the area of the west entrance in the 13th district from July 10th. In the night from June 12th, 2023 to June 13th, 2023, the traffic will be switched for further preparatory work, which the ÖAMTC experts fear will probably be accompanied by traffic jams.

The Brauhausbrücke will be closed in the direction of the 13th district, one lane in the 14th district will remain open at all times, but will be moved to the opposite side depending on the progress of construction. It has to be avoided on a very large scale.

The left turn from Wientalstraße to the Brauhausbrücke in the 14th district will also be blocked. Traffic coming from the Westautobahn with the destination of the 14th district will then be diverted via Auhofstraße and then through Stampfergasse via the Brauhausbrücke to Bergmillergasse and on to the 14th district. During this period, Stampfergasse will run as a two-lane one-way towards Brauhausbrücke. Especially in the first few days there will be traffic jams on the western entrance. The ÖAMTC recommends finding out about the current status in good time (ÖAMTC app!).
