20 kilometers of slow traffic on the Fernpass route

Vienna (OTS) – According to ÖAMTC mobility information, there was heavy travel to the ski areas in the early hours of the morning. The start of the holidays in Bavaria was particularly reflected on the Fernpass route (B179). Traffic progressed sluggishly for 20 kilometers, from the Fußen border tunnel to Bichlbach. At 8:00 a.m., drivers lost around 20 minutes in front of the permanent focal point, the tunnel construction site on the Tauern Autobahn (A10). Block clearance has also been announced in front of the Brettfall Tunnel, the entrance to the Zillertal. There were also delays in Vorarlberg before the exit into Montafon on the Rheintal Autobahn (A14). “The traffic situation in Bavaria suggests that the traffic jams will last until at least Saturday followingnoon,” concludes the ÖAMTC mobility information.
