NYT: Alyokhina escaped from Russia in the form of a delivery courier

Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina managed to escape from house arrest by disguising herself as a Delivery Club courier. It is reported by The New York Times.

Alyokhina, while under house arrest, had to wear a special electronic bracelet. But she left the bracelet and mobile phone at home, dressed as a courier and fled.

Since the Pussy Riot member had only a Russian general passport with her, Alyokhina left Russia through the territory of Belarus. A friend took her to the border with Belarus. Then Alyokhina reached the Lithuanian border.

One of Alekhina’s comrades, the artist Ragnar Kjartansson, was able to obtain a visa to one of the European countries, following which the woman was able to leave for Europe. It is also known that it took Alyokhina three attempts to cross the Belarusian border.

Recall that following escaping from house arrest, Russian citizen Maria Alyokhina was put on the federal wanted list.
