DESTINATION Prambanan Temple Tourist Park is closed during the Holy Day of Nyepi for Hindus. The closing was entitled Prambanan in Silence, Monday (11/3).

President Director of PT TWC Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko, Febrina Intan, said, through the Prambanan in Silence program, his party closed operations at the TWC Prambanan destination during the 1946 Nyepi Holy Day.

This operational closure will be carried out on March 11 2024 from 05.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB.

His party also carried out a power outage in the TWC Prambanan area on March 11 2024 at 06.00 WIB until March 12 2024 06.00 WIB. The Prambanan Temple area is also guarded by bregada and mounted police patrols who collaborate with the Yogyakarta Regional Police.

“Let’s learn together the universal meaning of Catur Brata Penyepian, both regarding self-introspection and cultivating harmonious behavior with the surrounding environment. Both teach essential values ​​regarding wisdom and social harmony to bring world peace,” said Febrina.

Prambanan in Sunyi presents a tranquil atmosphere in the World Cultural Heritage area. This is in accordance with the rules of Catur (Brata) Penyepian, namely observing work (not working), observing lelungan (not traveling), observing geni (not lighting a fire), and observing auctionuan (not having fun).

This program is a form of respect and instills a deep sense of togetherness and attachment to Hindus throughout Indonesia who are implementing Catur Brata Penyepian.

Previously, Prambanan Temple was also the venue for the Tawur Agung Kesanga 1946 Saka Celebration. This was a collaborative program between the Directorate General of Hindu Community Guidance, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and the Prambanan Temple Utilization Working Team, Region X Cultural Preservation Center (BPK), Hindu Community Guidance, Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion, Central Java – DIY , PT TWC Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko and PHDI Central Java.

This event, which was solemn and full of arts and culture activities, was not closed only to Hindus, but was also open to all parties who wanted to take part in witnessing spiritual breathing traditions and spreading universal values.

“Through this momentum, we hope that Prambanan Temple can become a source of resonance for universal values ​​such as artistic, cultural, traditional and religious values ​​which help soften moral behavior,” he concluded. (Z-1)
