NYC Subway Shooter Still Wanted

The font of New York is still looking for the author of the subway shootout who did twenty injured, including ten by bullet. Investigators found a handgun and the keys to a recently rented van that was abandoned in the Brooklyn neighborhood at the scene. Tuesday morningat rush hour, a man wearing a gas mask detonated two smoke grenades before opening fire on a crowded subway train.

“The last time there was a mass shooting in our subway was in 1984, recalled the Governor of New York State Kathy Hochul. I don’t want to act like it’s normal. It’s something rare but a shooting like this is already one shooting too many.”

None of the injured people are in mortal danger according to local authorities. The question now arises of the identity of the shooter and his motive. A first track leads to the 62-year-old man who rented the van. According to several American media, he recently published videos criticizing the mayor of New York and referring to the homeless.

The United States is facing scourge of guns since many years. They did nearly 45,000 victims in 2021depending on the organization Gun Violence Archive.
