After an increase of 2.84%, the NVIDIA [$NVDA] exceeded the Apple [$AAPL] today as the most valuable publicly traded company in the world. Last June, it had already achieved the feat of surpassing Apple’s market value, but not as the most valuable company.

The GPU giant 1 closed the day’s trading session with its shares worth US$139,91 (a growth of US$3.86 or 2.84%) — enough to make its market value jump to US$3.432 trillion.

### Interview with Financial Analyst Jane Doe on Nvidia Overtaking Apple

**Host:** Welcome back to Business Focus.⁢ Today, we have financial analyst‌ Jane Doe with us to discuss a significant shift in the tech market. Nvidia has officially overtaken Apple as ‍the most valuable company in ‍the world. Jane, thank you for joining us!

**Jane Doe:** Thanks for having me!

**Host:** ‍It’s been quite a rollercoaster with Nvidia’s stock. What do you think drove this ‌recent increase in Nvidia’s market value?

**Jane Doe:**⁣ Nvidia’s ⁣surge can be attributed to several factors, primarily the ongoing demand for their GPUs, especially with the boom in AI technology and gaming. Companies across various sectors are increasingly relying on Nvidia’s technology to power their ⁣innovations, which boosts investor‍ confidence and drives up stock prices.

**Host:** That’s a great point.⁢ You mentioned the demand for AI technology. How significant has this‍ trend been for Nvidia’s growth?

**Jane Doe:** Extremely significant. Nvidia has positioned itself as a ⁤leader in AI hardware, which has led to skyrocketing sales. Their GPUs are critical for training AI models, and as more industries look to adopt‍ AI solutions, Nvidia stands to benefit ⁣immensely.

**Host:** Last year, Nvidia surpassed Apple in market value ⁢but didn’t hold that title until now. How does ⁣this change in the ‍rankings affect the tech landscape?

**Jane ‌Doe:** It signifies a potential shift in leadership within the tech sector. While Apple has ‌been synonymous with‍ consumer electronics, Nvidia represents a new frontier—AI and cloud computing. This shift might encourage other tech firms to innovate further in AI‍ and related fields to remain competitive.

**Host:** Interesting. Now, what do you think Apple needs to do to regain its position at ⁤the ⁤top?

**Jane Doe:** Apple needs to continue innovating and perhaps focus‍ more on integrating AI technologies into its existing products and services. Their ecosystem is ⁢strong, but staying ahead requires adapting to technological trends and consumer needs more quickly.

**Host:** Lastly, what should investors be watching for in the coming months with these two companies?

**Jane Doe:**⁣ I’d advise investors to keep an eye on Nvidia’s quarterly earnings reports as ⁤they will reveal how sustained the demand for their products is. For Apple,⁣ looking for new product launches and updates on their services sector will be critical. The rivalry between these‌ two companies will remain a fascinating space to watch.
