A NVIDIA made available this week the first demo of the Chat with RTX. For those who don’t know, it is a chatbot developed by the company based on generative artificial intelligence so that users who have a compatible RTX card in their equipment can obtain information in different scenarios.
In general, the way this technology works is very similar to other services in the category that we already know, such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot. In other words, the person simply needs to ask a question for the platform to search for information that can resolve that question.
One of the advantages of this new feature is that it can work locally by using the hardware of RTX cards. Initially, NVIDIA implemented this chatbot as a system capable of summarizing and extracting data quickly, whether from files or documents. The feature supports files in TXT, PDF, XML e DOCX.
Chat with RTX also works with YouTube videos. In this case, just copy the video URL and paste it into the conversation window to access the information spoken in the video following analysis by the chatbot. For now, it is not yet possible to know whether the new feature can work with languages other than English.
An advantage confirmed by NVIDIA is that the chatbot can also be used with RTX notebook cards. But, it is only available for the brand’s RTX 30 and 40 models with 8GB of VRAM. Other requirements include 16GB of RAM or more, in addition to Windows 11 and an updated driver to version 535.11.
