NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090D: Sanitation-compliant card to be launched later this month

A NVIDIA is close to launching another one of its video cards. This is the GeForce RTX 4090D, which will reach the Chinese market in compliance with the sanctions applied by the USA. This way, the new model will be the replacement for the previous model. RTX 4090 traditional and brings some important differences compared to it.

To begin with, the component will be launched with the same price and some features in common with the traditional version. However, it will have a set of attributes that will result in slightly lower performance compared to the variant it will be replacing in the Chinese market.

To get an idea, it will have to operate under a smaller TPP. While the normal RTX 4090 works with a TPP of 5,286, the new model will have to deal with numbers below 4,800. Likewise, its TDP will also have limitations, restricted to 425W, while the traditional variant can operate at 450W.

The new RTX 4090D, however, will have slightly higher frequencies, with 2,280 MHz compared to the 2,235 MHz of the RTX 4090. Even so, speeds in boost mode remain the same: 2,520 MHz. An important detail is that the new card does not will allow overclocking, different from the model that will be replaced by it.

Items such as CUDA cores, Tensor cores and RTX cores will also be smaller in the new variant, but details have not been revealed so far. The expectation is that the new RTX 4090D will be officially presented on December 28th, in China. The price will remain the same: 12,999 yuan (R$8,914).
