ASUS launched this monday (20) the GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition graphics card that features a build and design engineered to ensurelow operating temperatures even in heavy usage scenarios and lower noise.
According to the manufacturer, the RTX 4080 Noctua Edition has two Noctua fans that replace the system of three 100 mm coolers used in the TUF model. conventional from the same GPU. It is precisely this change that promises the difference.
The new heatsink design promises that the graphics card will work at lower temperatures, while the fans of its coolers turn at much lower speeds, also reducing the intensity of noise caused.
The product was announced during CES 2023 and, according to the companies, the new solution adopted now is different from that used in previous partnerships between ASUS and Noctua, which generated models of the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 with the same proposal.
The 120mm NF-12,25 units come with a vapor chamber heatsink and five 8mm diameter heatsinks. Tests carried out by ASUS indicate that the model can operate with sound reductions from -4.8 dB(A) to -16.8 dB(A).
Operating temperatures follow a similar trend, depending on the type of chassis the GPU is installed in. The model also has a Dual-BIOS system and is compatible with the AGUS GPU Tweak III software, for overclocks and adjustments.
Finally, the new ASUS video card made in partnership with Noctua is already available in the European market for 1,699 euros (~R$ 9,540) and US$ 1,650 (~R$ 8,640) in the United States. No release date has yet been announced in Brazil.
