Le GPU mobile NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GA103 has just been unveiled by the Youtuber Geekerwan. Its chip should have very good performance considering the number of CUDA cores it has.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GA103: it looks beautiful in front of the lens
NVIDIA officially introduced its GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU earlier this week. This new version has a GA103S / GA103M GPU labeled GN20-E8-A1. This is an almost complete chip, because this reference has 7,424 CUDA cores (58 SM) where at most we might, according to rumors on this GPU, have 7680. Which can still leave a margin for NVIDIA to release another mobile chip, you never know.
According to the Youtuber, the GA103 GPU measures 496 mm², meaning it’s 26.5% larger than the GA104 while offering 25% more cores. As a reminder, this chip is stuffed in 8 nm and is equipped with 232 Tensors Core, 58 RT Cores and 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 256-bit bus. The consumption of the card would be between 80 and 150 watts.
