At F1 22 @ 4K resolution, the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB model has Avg 143 fps, while the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB model has only Avg 113 fps.
That should be it,The GeForce RTX 4080 16GB model has 9728 CUDA, but the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB model has 7680 CUDA, which is a big difference in the number of CUDA.I don’t think it’s the same “RTX 4080”.
Therefore, NVIDIA said, “The GeForce RTX 4080 12GB itself is a great Gravo, but the name is not suitable.It is confusing to have two GPUs with the same 4080.”
It has not been announced what will happen to this model in the future, but it is likely that it will be renamed to GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, GeForce RTX 4070, etc. and will appear as a lower model of GeForce RTX 4080 16GB.
