The Nursing Act, which stipulates improvements in the treatment of nurses and the scope of their work, passed the bill review subcommittee of the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee.
The National Assembly Welfare Committee Bill Review Subcommittee held a meeting on the followingnoon of the 9th and voted on the Nursing Act, which stipulates improvements in the treatment of nurses and the scope of work.
In today’s second lieutenant, a total of three cases were passed, including two nursing laws proposed by the Democratic Party’s Min-seok Kim and Seo Jeong-suk from the People’s Power, and one nursing and midwifery law proposed by Choi Yeon-sook from the People’s Power, respectively.
Today, the subcommittee on the bill was convened at the request of the Democratic Party, and the People’s Power did not attend the meeting in large numbers, saying that it was notified of the meeting right before the meeting.
However, it is reported that Rep. Choi Yeon-sook, who proposed the Nursing Act, participated in the decision-making process by attending the second lieutenant.
The Democratic Party is in the position to hold a plenary session of the Welfare Committee and present it to the plenary session of the National Assembly soon following consultation with the People’s Power.
The Korean Nursing Association has been urging the ruling and opposition parties to enact a nursing law during the last presidential election.
On the other hand, the Medical Association is opposed to the Nursing Act itself, which creates a separate bill by extracting only nurse-related regulations from within the Medical Act.
