Following the death of two patients in suspicious circumstances in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin), a nurse was indicted last May, report our colleagues at BFMTV Saturday, September 21. The employee of a private clinic in the city is suspected of “poisoning a vulnerable person.”

The events occurred between December 2022 and March 2023 in the oncology department of the Sainte-Anne clinic in Strasbourg. According to the investigation conducted by the Strasbourg interdepartmental judicial police service (SIPJ), the deaths of the two patients, a 37-year-old man and a 92-year-old woman, occurred after “an overdose of sedative”.

Numerous hearings and a long analysis process to determine the sequence of events have led to the suspected nurse, who had the two victims in her care. Indicted on May 22, she does not admit to the intention of poisoning to cause death but would have acted “in a logic of pain relief”, reports a source close to the case.

The patrician was placed under judicial supervision with a ban on practicing her profession.
