Rosaura del Carmen Pérez Ibarra, 43 years old, died of serious complications following mistakenly ingesting chlorine. The victim was a nurse, the Guárico state police pointed out through a press release.
According to what was specified, the woman took the Sodium Hypochlorite solution in the facilities of the Dr. Francisco Urdaneta Delgado hospital, where she worked; The aforementioned health center is located in the town of Calabozo.
It was reported that the nurse was a patient with Covid-19, so “she presented characteristic symptoms of the disease; she had lost her taste and smell.”
Apparently, while on duty, she asked her companions where she might get a glass of water. She received the answer that there was a dining room, located on one of the floors, so she arrived at the site.
“Surely she took a glass that did not have drinking water, but chlorine and ingested it,” declared another nurse, who also said that following a while “it was that she began to feel bad, presenting strong stomach ailments.”
