The share of new Russian cars in the domestic car market was 50%. Information about this was published by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
“Cars and light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses produced in Russia in January-September 2023 accounted for about 50% of the domestic market for new vehicles. Russian manufacturers produced 453 thousand cars during this period,” the department indicated.
In September, demand for new cars in Russia increased two and a half times compared to 2022. Monthly car sales volumes exceeded one hundred thousand. According to auto experts, this year sales of new cars in Russia may exceed a million units, reports RT.
