The increase in the number of commissions in the DPR awaits the determination of the number of ministries in the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka governments. The number of ministries has certainly increased.
“We will finalize it later after the President-elect finalizes (the number of ministries). Approximately how many ministries will then be considered and ascertained what their needs are,” said DPR Speaker Puan Maharani at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (26/9) .
Puan said the DPR would review the number of ministries. Then, adjust the commission to become a partner of the new ministry.
“Of course, then the DPR will adjust how much it needs to be adjusted. Adjusted according to the need to adapt to the existing ministry,” said Puan.
The Chairman of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) ensured that the preparation for increasing the number of commissions was carried out through deliberation. So, the commission doesn’t suddenly appear immediately.
