The majority of Belgians use a Gmail address or, Hotmail or Outlook, to the detriment of their personal data. It is now possible to create an email address Belgian, local and respectful of your data with Nubo.

With Nubo, you have the same services as a traditional mailbox: you can create an electronic mailbox, a storage space (also called cloud) and benefit from associated services such as the management of an agenda, tasks and contacts. Except that Nubo promises an internet and neutral and ethical online services. Indeed, the cooperative is opposed in particular to the collection and centralization of personal data for commercial or profiling purposes. Nubo does nothing with the data you entrust to it, other than hosting it on the cooperative’s hard drives for your own use, and that’s it!

The servers and service providers are located in Belgium, no data is transmitted to third parties, there is no and the data is not used. All Nubo services run on free software.

Nubo, which means “cloud” in Esperanto, takes the form of a social cooperative. It was born from a partnership between associations (5 asbl and a cooperative) active for years in a free internet. By buying shares (25€/share)users become infrastructure cooperators and co-owners. They are also the ones who make the decisions concerning Nubo, during the various GAs. These purchases of shares constitute the capital of Nubo, they are in a way the foundations of the structure.
