On Sunday followingnoon, at the Paso Alejo Sports Complex in Ñublense, the match between the Ñublense and Huachipato women’s teams was being played, when fans of both teams caused serious incidents at the sports venue.
Witnesses claim that the confrontation between followers of each of the clubs was triggered when “the mother of a Huachipato player rebuked a Ñublense player and the mother of the insulted soccer player responded to her in the gallery. There more Huachipato fans reacted and the fight broke out.”
The incident spread on social networks and Ñublense, through a statement, came out to repudiate these acts of violence, announcing that they will carry out all relevant actions to prevent the protagonists of the incidents from entering the property located at km. 10 on the way to Coihueco.
“Deportivo Ñublense repudiates the conduct of a group of Ñublense and Huachipato fans and condemns violence in sports venues, coming from anyone, and we believe that they set back the growth of women’s soccer at the national level,” they reported.
The statement also states that the club provided all security measures for the proper development of the activity, including private guards, metal detectors and security cameras. “Improvements were made to the Paso Alejo Complex so that the women’s team can play their home matches at the facility.”

Finally, the club stressed: “we will carry out all necessary actions to ensure that fans do not return to sports venues, thus ensuring the proper development of the activity. As an institution we will continue working and improving the conditions to have a good sporting spectacle and we hope for the support of all those who attend to support the ‘red devils’ so that these events do not happen once more”:
It should be noted that the club professionalized women’s football and a group of players signed their first professional contract.
As part of the search for new players, the institution will hold this Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Paso Alejo Sports Complex, a test for players in the under-16 categories (2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011) and under -19 (2004-2005-2006-2007).
