The full Council of the Ñuble Productive Development Committee, in its second session held this Thursday, April 18, approved an amount of 2 billion pesos to open calls for Corfo and Sercotec programs in 2024. The event, which occurred two weeks Having created this collegiate body, it will allow calls for productive investment, entrepreneurship and innovation to be opened. The first Corfo call that will open will be Develop Investment, on May 2.
“The creation of the Productive Development Committee in Ñuble responds to a decentralization policy of President Gabriel Boric, which seeks to grant greater power to the regions in decision-making regarding programs and targeting of Corfo resources and to work with greater coordination. and coordination with the public, business and academic sectors,” explained the regional director of Corfo and executive director of the Ñuble Productive Development Committee, Macarena Dávila.
The second session of the Plenary Council, chaired by the regional governor, and also made up of 13 representatives from the public, private and academic world, had the objective of, in addition to discussing the budget, defining the strategic pillars and transversal axes under which the organization will work. In this way, the Silvoagrepecuario-Forestry, timber and Agroindustry sectors were surveyed; Tourism, Culture, Heritage and Creative Economy; Sustainable Industrialized Construction; and Recycling and Circular Economy.
“These axes account for the diversity of our territory, our potential and areas where we must generate value to lead our region towards a more diverse and sophisticated economy, which allows us to access better standards of well-being for the inhabitants of Ñuble,” he said. the regional governor of Ñuble, Óscar Crisóstomo.
On the occasion, it was also defined who will chair the Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Productive Development subcommittees, which will be more limited work instances of the Council, in which the approval of projects for each call will be discussed and sanctioned. The subcommittees were chaired by counselor María Eugenia González, dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering of the UdeC, in the case of Entrepreneurship and Innovation; and by Counselor Erick Solo de Zaldívar, Seremi of Economy, in that of Productive Development.
“Thanks to this Committee we will be able to take a regional look at the allocation of resources, analyze how we prioritize with respect to what we know and understand are the guidelines and the vocation for growth of the region,” said the academic, María Eugenia González.
The Seremi of Economy, Development and Tourism of Ñuble, Erick Solo de Zaldívar, highlighted the importance of the development of this instance, as it is a milestone of decentralization in decision-making. “In that sense, in this session there was a framework for discussion where the different sectors might express our opinions. Today the members of the subcommittees were chosen, who will have the task of working on each of the instruments that were visualized according to the proposed schedule, all of this in the spirit of reaching out to the sectors with support. most strategic in the Ñuble Region,” explained the Seremi.
