The Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro is coming in the next few weeks (or months). A new 3C certification speaks more for weeks. While not revealing much regarding the smartphone, Nubia has already officially announced that its next gaming phone will be the recently launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset from Qualcomm receives.
But what it reveals is that the next Red Magic phone will offer support for 165-watt wired charging. That’s even more than the already extremely fast 135 watts of the Red Magic 7 Pro and Red Magic 7S Pro. The 5,000 mAh batteries in these models go from zero to 100% in 15 minutes. If the battery capacity stays the same, the Red Magic 8 Pro might even drop the 10-minute mark.
As usual with Nubia, there is a catch. Unfortunately, only the Chinese Red Magic models achieve such speeds. The global variants were each limited to 65 watts this year. It’s unclear if the situation will change next year when the 8 Pro launches.
Apart from the charging performance, it is already known through two previous certifications that the Red Magic 8 Pro will have Bluetooth 5.2 and 5G connectivity.
