5:00 p.m.: OGM projection for ServusTV

Austria has decided. In the first projection by the opinion research institute OGM for ServusTV (based on the first counting data from municipalities, districts and federal states), the FPÖ emerged as the clear winner in the National Council election – with 29.5 percent of the vote. The ruling ÖVP party cannot win the declared duel and is in second place with 26.7 percent. According to the first projection, the SPÖ is relegated to third place for the first time with 20 percent. The NEOS pulled ahead of the Greens with 9.3 percent. The Greens suffered heavy losses and ended up with 8.2 percent. The Beer Party made it into parliament with 2.2 percent. The KPÖ (2.2 percent), List Petrovic (0.6 percent) and List NO (0.7 percent) missed out. When using the numbers, please cite “OGM extrapolation for ServusTV” as the source.

The projection contains a postal vote forecast and has a fluctuation range of 2.0 percentage points.

In the studio with Hans Martin Paar and Caroline Pospischil, OGM boss Wolfgang Bachmayer and the political observer and editor of “Libratus Magazin” Gudula Walterskirchen analyze the result. From 6:45 p.m., Michael Fleischhacker will present the “Round of Top Candidates” live from Parliament.

The final analysis of election day will be available from 10 p.m. on “Links. Right. Middle – Duel of opinion makers” with Katrin Prähauser.
