A former federal judge who became a national deputy of Together for Change he asked the Supreme Court to issue a precautionary measure to suspend the June 25 elections in Formosa. As it happened in Tucuman and San Juanintends to avoid a new gubernatorial candidacy Gildo Insfranwho would go for his seventh term in the province.

The presentation bears the signature of fernando carbajal, national deputy for Formosa, who had already made a similar presentation to challenge him in 1999, without succeeding in the courts. However, with the momentum generated by the precedents in San Juan and Tucumán, where the Court ordered the suspension of the elections scheduled for yesterday, last Tuesday, the opposition referent made a presentation with two points.

First of all, Carbajal asked the Court to rule on the constitutionality of article 132 of the Provincial Constitution, since, in his opinion, it presents a legal vacuum.

Its ambiguity would allow “the indefinite re-election” of the current governor Gildo Insfrán (who would go on June 25, 2023 for his eighth term in office, added to two periods as lieutenant governor)”. This “constitutes a clear opposition to the spirit of the National Constitution which, in its arts. 1, 5 and 123, receives for the people of the Argentine Nation the republican principles of government and temporality in power”.
