Now there will be travel in unmanned aircraft, significant advances in aerospace technology

Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan says that the policy of creating a legal regulation on the use and production of unmanned aircraft is being issued.

Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan says that a policy is being implemented to make a formal legal regulation for the use, import and manufacture of unmanned aircraft.

The federal minister said that the system of unmanned aircraft is a new component in the aviation system, the draft of the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) policy has been prepared by the Aviation Division.

He said the purpose of the policy is to classify various types of unmanned aircraft, including drones, model aircraft, quadcopters and hot air balloons, and to set qualification criteria for operators.

The Federal Minister said that the draft of this policy has been sent to all relevant stakeholders for opinions and suggestions, after consultation, revision and feedback of the stakeholders, it will be presented for approval at an appropriate forum.

He said that the policy broadly covers the use of unmanned aircraft (UAS) in recreational, non-recreational, sports, photography, media coverage, commercial, agriculture and many other segments.

The Federal Minister further said that the formulation of this policy will initiate new ventures in the local industry and will encourage the general public and the business community to improve their performance.
