The arm of this robot is designed with the help of 3D printing which will automatically change after each test. With this disposable arm, the robot applies the swab to the exact part of the human throat where a sample should be taken for testing for Covid-19. A team of ten researchers is working to develop a prototype of the robot as soon as possible. Professor Swarimuttu told the university’s website, “I was surprised that the robot applied the cotton to the specific area of ​​the throat very gently, so this is a great achievement.”
