Butler era in England cricket. England Cricket Board has appointed Jos Buttler as the ODI and T20 captain of the England team. Buttler replaces Eoin Morgan, who retired from international cricket yesterday, as the captain of the England white ball teams. Butler’s captaincy matches are now once morest India. Buttler has previously led the team 14 times (9 ODIs and 5 T20Is). He has scored 4120 runs from 151 ODIs at an average of 41.20 including 10 centuries. Buttler has scored 2140 runs at a strike rate of 141.20 from 88 T20 matches for England. ‘I would like to express my sincere thanks to Eoin Morgan for his excellent leadership over the past seven years. It was a most memorable period for all. He is an inspirational hero. His performance is fantastic. I consider it a great honor to take over the England captaincy from Morgan.’ Butler said
Buttler has been an integral part of England’s white ball teams for over a decade. In the recent IPL, it was Jos Buttler who bagged six awards including the Orange Cap for Rajasthan Royals. Jos Buttler, fondly called ‘Josetan’ by the Malayalis, won all the important awards such as the player who hit the most sixes, the player who hit the fours, the most runs, the best power player of the season. Buttler also became the highest run-scorer by an overseas player in a single season.
