From this Monday, June 6, you will find a Geeko page every day in the Metro newspaper.
The Metro newspaper and the online magazine Geeko strengthen their collaboration. From this Monday, June 6, readers of the Metro newspaper will find up to three “Geeko” articles in their newspaper every day. Three articles focused on digital, new technologies, the web and social networks – the central themes of the site.
“For us, it is a question of strengthening a collaboration which began at the beginning of 2022” explains Etienne Froment, editor-in-chief of Geeko. “Metro and Geeko share similar audiences, with a focus on young readership. Digital is a theme that particularly affects this readership. The Geeko pages therefore fit perfectly into the newspaper. They also allow us to build bridges with a media that reaches a very large audience.”
Geeko and Metro are both part of the YAU project – Young Active Urbans – a new “digital first” offer that targets young people aged 18 to 35. The seven media that make up this offer reach more than 2.7 million readers per month, for a total of 6.5 million page views.
In May 2022, Geeko and Belgium-iPhone alone accumulated nearly 700,000 unique visitors.
