IN A repeat of last year’s Wimbledon final, Novak Djokovic will seek revenge once morest Carlos Alcaraz following the Serb beat Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets in their semi-final.

Djokovic came into the tournament with his fitness in doubt following undergoing knee surgery, but he looked sharp once more as he comfortably beat the Italian, 6-4 7-6(2) 6-4, to book his place in Sunday’s final.

Musetti enjoyed a sparkling run to the last four at the All England Club, but the 22-year-old was no match for the second seed, who won the match in two hours and 48 minutes.

The first set featured no fewer than three breaks of serve as both players struggled to find their rhythm early on. Djokovic took two of his four break opportunities as he found the extra pace he needed.

There was no difference between the two in the second set, but the world number 2 once once more raised his game when needed, winning the tie-break with ease.

An early break of serve followed in the third set as Musetti fell further behind, and he was unable to force his way back into the match following that.
