Novak Djokovic equals Steffi Graf’s record with 377th week as world number 1

The record for the number of weeks with the status of world number 1 (377), so far held by former German player Steffi Graf, was equaled on Monday by Novak Djokovic. The Serb had recovered the top of the ATP rankings on January 30, the day following his victory at the Australian Open.

Victorious at the ATP tournament in Delray Beach on Sunday, the American Taylor Fritz remains in 7th place, but next week he will enter the Top 5. He will be the first American since Andy Roddick (in 2003) to do so.

Gasquet always first French

Richard Gasquet (36) is in 43rd place and remains the first Frenchman in the ranking. Constant Lestienne, who faces Davidovich Fokina in the round of 16 of the Doha tournament on Monday, is 53rd. For his part, Benjamin Bonzi fell 12 places and found himself in 60th place.
