Novak Djokovic beat British No. 13 Cameron Norrie on Tuesday to reach the quarter-finals of the Italian Open tennis tournament for the 17th year in a row.
The Serbian star won the match in his favor in two sets, 6-3, 6-4.
After the match, Djokovic said, “I already finished warming up 10 minutes before I went on court. So, I was faster in everything, but we mightn’t (warm up) earlier because of the rain. So, I’m just happy to beat today’s challenge in straight sets.” And move on.”
Djokovic, 35, is aiming for a seventh title on the red clay courts, having struggled at times during previous rounds.
Djokovic is scheduled to meet in the next match, the seventh seed, the Danish Holger Rohn, or the Australian Alexei Popyrin.
