Madrid: The Spanish government has taken a stand once morest Serbia’s world number one Novak Djokovic. A spokesman for the Spanish government said Djokovic should be vaccinated ahead of the Madrid Open in April. The government has made it clear that Djokovic’s decision is the best course of action for him to play in Spain.
Under current Spanish law, Djokovic is barred from entering the country. The rule is that those who have not been vaccinated must have a Kovid negative certificate within 72 hours. Djokovic’s picture also appeared on a poster released by the Madrid Open. Djokovic also has a home in Marbella, Spain.
Djokovic, who refuses to take the Kovid vaccine, said the ban in Australia might continue in other countries. The French Ministry of Sports has stated that Djokovic will not play in this year’s French Open unless he is vaccinated. It is the policy of the Ministry of Sports that when the new vaccine policy is implemented, there will be no concessions in France for those who do not get the vaccine.
Djokovic has been banned from attending the Australian Open for not taking the Kovid vaccine. Djokovic’s visa was later revoked by the Australian government and he was deported. Following this, the French Ministry of Sports has come out with a statement that there will be no concessions for those who do not take the vaccine at the French Open.
