Nothing Gears Up for 2025 Smartphone Launch
Trusted sources have revealed that Nothing, the tech company founded by Carl Pei, is diligently working on three new smartphones, slated for release in the first half of 2025.
While specific details surrounding these upcoming devices remain under wraps, rumors suggest that one of the models could be the highly anticipated Nothing Phone (3). This speculation stems from reports indicating the phone’s appearance on Geekbench with the model code Nothing A059.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Nothing Phone (3) appears to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC chipset and boasts 8GB of internal RAM. Running on Android 15, the device achieved impressive scores of 1,149 and 2,813 points in Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests, respectively, signifying robust performance capabilities.
Nothing’s last smartphone release was the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, followed by the limited-edition Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition, which featured a unique glow-in-the-dark design. The Community Edition proved incredibly popular, selling out within just 15 minutes during its initial sale and later becoming available in a limited run in London, England.

## Nothing’s Next Move: An Interview with Tech Analyst Sarah Jones
**Host:** Welcome back to Tech Talk. Today, we’re diving into the exciting world of Nothing, the company that’s been making waves with its transparent design aesthetic. Rumors are swirling that Nothing is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in 2025. Joining us to discuss this is tech analyst Sarah Jones. Sarah, thanks for being here.
**Sarah Jones:** Thanks for having me!
**Host:** Let’s get right to it. What can you tell us about these rumors of a new Nothing smartphone?
**Sarah Jones:** Well, while Nothing hasn’t officially confirmed anything, multiple trusted sources have indicated that a new phone is indeed in the works, with a potential launch sometime in 2025. This follows the successful releases of their Ear 1 earbuds and Phone 1. [[1](https://www.androidauthority.com/carl-pei-nothing-phone-1-interview-3202840/)
**Host:** Interesting. Now, Nothing has really carved out a niche with its transparent design. Do you expect to see that continue with the new phone?
**Sarah Jones:** It’s highly likely. Transparency seems to be a core element of Nothing’s brand identity. They’ve made a bold statement with both their earbuds and the Phone 1, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they continue this design language in their upcoming releases.
**Host:** What do you think are the biggest challenges Nothing faces in launching a new smartphone in a very competitive market?
**Sarah Jones:** Definitely brand recognition and competition. While they’ve gained a lot of attention, they’re still a relatively new player. Competing with established giants like Apple and Samsung won’t be easy. They need to continue to innovate and offer unique features that resonate with consumers.
**Host:** What are your predictions for Nothing’s future?
**Sarah Jones:** I think they have the potential to become a serious contender in the smartphone market. If they continue to
innovate and build on their strong brand identity, they could attract a loyal following. The transparent design is certainly eye-catching and could be a differentiator for them. However, they need to deliver on performance and features to truly stand out.
**Host:** Sarah, thanks for sharing your insights. It’s certainly going to be interesting to see what Nothing does next.
**Sarah Jones:** My pleasure.
