Well-known producer Syed Furqan Haider Rizvi passed away in the American state of Texas. Syed Furqan Haider had achieved a prominent position in the field of stage dramas in America including Pakistan.
According to media reports, he will be laid to rest in Dallas on Sunday.
Syed Farqan Haider Rizvi was the person who introduced the most popular artists of Pakistan Umar Sharif and Moin Akhtar to theater.
Syed Furqan was suffering from kidney disease. His death has been reported by his family and close friends.
Among his plays were ‘Bakra Qasto Par’, ‘Masibat dar Mishal’ and ‘Bachao Moin Akhtar’ which introduced Pakistani stage plays to the world.
He produced more than 250 stage plays during his tenure, which focused on social messages and current affairs. Apart from Urdu, he also presented plays in Punjabi and Memni languages.
Despite his ailments, the deceased recently produced his last stage play ‘Dilha Online’ at Dells two weeks ago in which he invited several artistes from Pakistan to Dells.
Syed Furqan Haider’s funeral prayers will be offered today, Sunday, November 10, at the Momin Center in Dallas, while his burial will take place at the Denton Muslim Cemetery. His family has requested all friends to pray for his forgiveness.
