Representative Fouad Makhzoumi indicated, following the session of the sub-committee emanating from the Public Works and Transportation Committee in charge of following up on the issue of the steps required to protect the southern silos from the port’s silos and remove grain, that “we all know that what is happening in the port of Beirut following the explosion, which is considered the largest disaster in our history, did not We see a serious follow-up in it, especially with regard to the interaction and toxins that come out of the fermentation of the existing grains, and the destruction that occurs.”

According to Makhzoumi, “it was said that there are steps that must take place, including: spraying these grains to prevent fermentation so that emissions once morest the environment and health do not occur, and that we find ways to “break” the existing concrete and remove these existing landfills to ensure the stability of the silos.

We will ask An appointment from the Minister of Works in the caretaker government, Ali Hamiyah, to specify in his speech that the only intention is to transfer these materials, so that we can start working on them, so as not to let things interact.

He continued, “We asked if there was a decision to demolish the southern silos, and we heard that he sent a letter from the Prime Ministry to the Ministry of Works, asking him to wait to study the situation. To this day, we do not know what happened, and we hear from the Engineers Syndicate that the consulting company that was asked to conduct studies of the type of “laser” “So far, there has been no funding.
